Conceptual Sketch

Going through some older conceptual sketches- this is from 2017 (before AI). It’s digital sketch, then textured and composited with photographs from my personal image library.

My concept at the time was the idea that sometimes you need to break out of your old shell in order to grow and flourish into what you’re capable of.

What I see when I look at this- I see a version of myself that was much more imaginative and free to create whatever and however my mind would drift - free from outside influences and what might or might not bring me jobs.

I’m not sure if that artist that created without freely and without rules is still inside me, but I’m hopeful.
